Josh, I see the trac item lists 1.3 as the Milestone for this fix. Is it realistic to think that this (hopefully small) change to OMPI will make it into 1.3? If not, I can probably resurect the removed APIs and delay removal until 0.8.1, though I'd rather not if this can be avoided. -Paul Josh Hursey wrote: > I responded on the Open MPI mailing list regarding this, but wanted to > repost here in case anyone is interested in tracking the progress of > this Open MPI C/R bug. > http://www.open-mpi.org/community/lists/users/2008/12/7391.php > > Thanks for the bug report, > Josh > > On Dec 4, 2008, at 4:39 AM, Matthias Hovestadt wrote: > >> Hi! >> >> Just for your information: the checkpointing support of >> OpenMPI makes use of the deprecated function cr_request_file. >> Since you removed support for these deprecated functions in >> 0.8.0, the usage of older versions like 0.7.3 is mandatory if >> if checkpointing OpenMPI jobs. >> >> >> Best, >> Matthias >> >> > -- Paul H.
