N. Rajagopal, My best guess based on the information you've provided is that either one of two things are occurring: 1) BLCR 0.4.2 is not happy w/ your 2.6.18 kernel. 2) You do have the sources, but they are "generic" ones, not configured. I know that BLCR 0.4.2 won't build against a kernel as new as yours even if it did pass the configure step. So, resolving #1 is the first thing to address. You should go to the BLCR website http://ftg.lbl.gov/checkpoint and follow the link in the "News" section that leads to the 0.5.0 betas, or wait until the end of this week when the full 0.5.0 release is expected. Try building BLCR-0.5.0 (beta or final) and if that still doesn't work, then look at the following FAQ entry for how to turn "generic" kernel sources into configured ones: http://upc-bugs.lbl.gov/blcr/doc/html/FAQ.html#unconfig -Paul Jason Duell wrote: > Rajagopal, > > I'm forwarding your email to the entire checkpoint group at LBL.
