Possibly, although I guess 2.6.31 has the same change that caused: http://www.nersc.gov/hypermail/checkpoint/1249.html http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=542643 The current package in debian includes a patch for this, which you might have more luck with although there might be other problems still... I'd be interested to hear if you managed to build the debian packages on ubuntu without any changes. Alan
