Neal, If I understand, their concern is just that the ExclusiveArch will cause their build system to produce 4 variants that are essentially the same. These are left from the days when distros offered these different kernels as well. So, it should be safe/correct to change ExclusiveArch: i486 i586 i686 athlon x86_64 ppc ppc64 arm to ExclusiveArch: i686 x86_64 ppc ppc64 arm for the user-space stuff. For the kmod stuff, one should be certain that ExclusiveArch doesn't accidentally exclude an x86 variant one wants to build the kernel modules for. -Paul Neal Becker wrote: > Can someone suggest an answer to this question? > > ---------- Forwarded Message ---------- > > ... > > One further note about http://nbecker.dyndns.org:8080/RPM/blcr.spec, which > contains: > > >> #Generic i386 is NOT supported >> ExclusiveArch: i486 i586 i686 athlon x86_64 ppc ppc64 arm >> > > I see it was discussed, but is that really needed?
