Ted,

   Yes, the uid restore code should be in good shape in 0.8.0.  In previous 
releases it was broken in one or more ways.  NOTE: this feature is not enabled 
by default, and one must pass --enable-restore-ids to BLCR's configure script 
to enable it.  That fact should be in the TORQUE documentation, but I didn't 
find it just now when I looked for it.
