Cedric,
   You've found it.  The adress checkpoint_at_lbl_dot_gov is a list for BLCR 
questions.  The traffic volume is very low, and there are only a few 
people subscribed other than the developers.  However, if interested, 
you can subscribe by sending a message containing the line "subscribe 
checkpoint" to majordomo_at_lbl_dot_gov.  You can find archives of the list at 
http://www.nersc.gov/hypermail/checkpoint/
